Daniel Mirea is an accredited CBT psychotherapist, a senior lecturer and a clinical supervisor who trained and also trains in different cognitive and behavioural approaches including traditional-CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnosis, EMDR, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or ACT. With a career spanning over 35 years in the mental health field, Daniel dotted many 'i's and crossed many 't's in the fields of mental health, forensic psychology or substance misuse clinics as a clinical head, clinical supervisor or trainer. Daniel Mirea always felt drawn towards complex cases of low self-esteem and childhood trauma but also at the other end of the spectrum by the prospect of enhancing performance and abilities through a positive mindset. As such, over the years he developed a few behavioural approaches including and especially Neuroaffective-CBT for chronic feelings of shame, Emotion-Focused CBT for interpersonal problems and Sports-CBT for enhancing performance in sports.
